Festival-goers invited to Godiva Festival after party at Kasbah

THE KASBAH is opening its doors to festival-goers in search of more fun following the Godiva Festival.

DJ and drummer duo The Stickmen are set to bring their live set to the Hillfields hotspot tomorrow – treating revellers to a high-powered visual performance.

Famed for their masks and bright LED costumes, the musicians return to the venue after a performance in February.

The Stickmen use a drum kit as a sample pad to play songs and produce mash-ups of a host of iconic dance tracks.

The duo has secured four DJCity top tens and had airtime on multiple radio stations after forming just last year.

The Stickmen expect the party that follows Godiva to be “even crazier” than their last performance at the Coventry venue.

A spokesman for the group said: “We have heard about Godiva and it’s a great line-up this year and the fact you can go to it for free is amazing. We are just going to do what we do and bring the party, make sure you wear your dancing shoes.

“This is why we do what we do. Sometimes we’re still buzzing for two or three days after the show just thinking about it.”

Amarjit Kullar of the Kasbah, added: “Coventry is at its absolute best during the Godiva Festival and we want everyone to come straight from War Memorial Park to continue the party with us here at the Kasbah.

“Last time we had The Stickmen here they really brought the party, they really know how to get people dancing and the crowd absolutely loved it.

“We want to prolong the festival atmosphere on the Saturday night and we hope everyone comes down the party.”

Doors will open from 10pm and entrants must be over 18.
