COMPETITION: Win tickets to watch Heartbeat live, on stage!

THE COVENTRY OBSERVER has teamed up with the Belgrade Theatre to offer two lucky readers tickets to the upcoming performance of Heartbeat – on stage.

Based on the constable series of novels by Nicholas Rhea, Heartbeat ran for 18 years from 1992 to 2010 on ITV in its regular Sunday night slot.

Audiences regularly exceeded 10 million viewers and the programme was consistently in the top five TV programmes across all channels.

Now, for the first time ever, it comes to the stage and will star regular David Lonsdale – who played the lovable David Stockwell – and Steven Blakely, who played PC Geoff Younger.

They are joined by a strong cast including Hollyoaks star Matt Milburn, who plays the handsome PC Hoe Malton, Gina Ward and Bernie Scripps.

With the use of video footage and a brilliant set, the performance recreates the atmosphere of the 1960s rural Yorkshire.

To enter, simply email [email protected] with your name, contact details and the subject title ‘Heartbeat’.

The winner will be called on the morning of Monday (April 11).

Heartbeat plays on the Belgrade Theatre main stage from Monday (April 11) until Saturday (April 16).
