COMPETITION: Show off your best dance moves to win Belgrade Theatre tickets

Coventry Editorial 23rd Mar, 2017   0

THE COVENTRY Observer has teamed up with the Belgrade Theatre to offer readers a chance to win a night of musical theatre with a twist.

The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin will take to the Belgrade’s main stage on Saturday, April 8 – and you could win a family ticket and an exclusive on stage dance class.

Two lucky winners will be able to meet the cast and take part in a dance warm up on the main stage.

Co-produced with Theatre Royal Stratford East, the new production has already enjoyed a successful run and received critical acclaim.

Following the story of Viveca – a young African American girl who dreams of becoming a dancer – the play is set in the 1960s in Los Angeles.

Growing up during the civil rights movement, Viveca chooses to face the realities of racism and sexism with optimism and faith and ultimately discovers her own self-worth.

This cheeky and satirical coming-of-age story looks at how women have been defined by others and themselves from the 1960s to present day.

For your chance to win tickets, The Observer and The Belgrade Theatre wants to see your best dance moves.

Whether you’re a ballerina in training or more of a dad on the dancefloor, we want to see you shed your chameleon skin and let your personality shine through.

To enter, tweet and post your best moves on Facebook and Twitter using #BubblyMusical.

The deadline for entries is on Friday, March 31.
