Your dream £500,000 des res..a snip at £49

Coventry Editorial 2nd Sep, 2019   0

This pristine £500,000 four-bedroom detached bungalow became one of the most desirable properties in the Midlands when it went on the market – with an asking price starting at £49.99.

That’s the bargain-basement cost to join a raffle-style competition for the des res in Pangfield Park, Coventry.

With tickets strictly limited to the first 9999, organisers say the odds of a lifestyle-changing win are far better than conventional games such as The National Lottery.

One winner will get the keys to the house, with all stamp duty and legal fees paid, and look forward to a mortgage-free life.

The home raffle is the brainchild of businessman Rosh Hunjan, co-founder of West Midlands based Elite Prizes. Rosh said: “Yes, it certainly has caught the imagination. It is a stunning modern property, perfect for families and in a good area for schools and transport links.

“We wanted to give people an opportunity to win life-changing prizes at odds that are at least tangible. At one in 10,000 the odds of winning our house are significantly better than the one in 45million for The National Lottery jackpot.

“Just now we are focussing on the house but our other popular one is for a new Ferrari 488 GTB worth over £200,000. Again we keep the odds down by limiting tickets, in this case to 4999.”

Rosh partnered with Elizabeth Davenport Estate Agents in Coventry who value the house at half a million.

They reckon the property oozes quality: “Positioned within a dramatic plot with extensive gardens and delightful decked patios, this wonderful four double bedroom home has been substantially extended to create well-balanced and impressive accommodation throughout.

“The full-width kitchen, dining room and living room is particularly inspiring and has been designed with no compromise whatsoever.

“The appliances are all integral with bi folding doors, down lighters, granite and high gloss ceramic flooring.”

The house is perfect for commuters. The A45, a few minutes drive, links to the A46 and the M6 interconnecting the entire Midlands motorway network. Birmingham Airport, Balsall Common, Knowle and Solihull are all easily accessible.

Rosh said: “This is within everyone’s reach – you are playing against hundreds not millions.”
