AMERICAN forward Ryan Ginand is the latest addition to Matt Soderstrom's Blaze team.
The 27-year-old split last season with Orlando Solar Bears and Gwinnett Gladiators in the ECHL as well as being called up for seven games in the American Hockey League by Houston Aeros.
He has registered 127 points (50 goals and 77 assists) in 143 games in the ECHL and has also spent time in Denmark and Italy after having four years with Northeastern University in the NCAA.
“We feel he is another point-producing high-end top-six forward for us,” said Soderstrom.
“I know Thommo (Paul Thompson) has followed his career for the past couple of years and we came close to signing him last year.
"He played on the same team as Brian Lee, who told us Ryan would be a perfect fit in Coventry.
"He wanted another shot at the American League but we got the deal done this time and he is someone we will be leaning on heavily to produce.
"He delivers the goods and his record speaks for itself. He is ready and raring to go."
Ginand joins Steven Chalmers, Ross Venus, James Griffin, Mike Egener, Adam Henrich, Benn Olson, Mike Schutte, Russell Cowley, Mike Zacharias, Matt Selby, Dale White, Adam Goss and Michael Henrich on next season's roster.
