THREE people have been charged with perverting the course of justice after an investigation into the death of a three-year-old girl.

The charge concerns information given to police at the time of Mariam Alam's death.

She died in hospital on November 30, 2011 after ambulance crews were called to the youngster's aunt's house in Fisher Road, Foleshill.

A post-mortem revealed she died as a result of a head injury.

A 35-year-old man and two women, aged 26 and 33, will appear before Coventry Magistrates Court on March 22.
