A SECOND entrance into Pool Meadow Bus Station has opened.
The access off White Street cost £284,000 after funding from the city council and travel organisation Centro. It was opened by councillors earlier this week.
They said the work would make it easier for passengers to access the city centre site from Fairfax Street, which runs behind the bus station.
And they hope coach drop-off and pick-up bays in White Street will improve access to nearby tourist attractions the cathedral and Transport Museum.
It has also seen the introduction of a bus and cycle lane and improved access to the White Street coach park.
Centro chairman Coun John McNicholas said: “Enhancing facilities such as Pool Meadow and introducing a new bus and cycle lane in White Street is all part of our aim to reduce journey times and provide a vibrant and viable network.”
