A CITY bridal shop has been voted the UK's best by a top retailers association.
The Bridal Gallery picked up nearly 1,000 votes in the British Bridal Retailers Association's competition.
The Cheylesmore shop had sat second to a Great Yarmouth business in the public vote for much of January but sneaked ahead late on to pick up a trophy and accolade of the country's favourite.
Owner Sarah Smith started the company 20 years ago from her parents' conservatory in Styvechale.
She said the secret to the shop's success was her team of 20 staff - consisting of bridal seamstresses, models, consultants, an assistant manager and apprentice.
