CORNER Pocket Jazz Club regular Steve 'Big Man' Clayton will headline the club's eight anniversary show.
The man hailed the king of barrel house piano will be back at the club on Tuesday, February 12.
After taking an interest in music at the age of 10, Steve joined his first blues band after leaving school before being invited to back visiting US artists Red, Shuggy Otis and Carey Bell. He also played on Otis Grand's award-winning album He Knows the Blues.
Steve then began to write his own songs and recorded the first of his six albums in 1991 with his long-time band The 44’s.
He has also won numerous awards including being named Best Piano Player by the British Blues Connection three times.
One critic said: "There is no mistaking the unique sound of Steve 'Big Man' Clayton."
Tickets for the gig at Coventry School Former Pupils' Association in Fleet Street next to St John's Church cost £6 with the doors opening at 7.30pm.
