Store manager Nick Farmer.
SUPERMARKET giant Asda will open a retail store at a city shopping centre next month.
The chain has announced it was opening a Living store at Warwickshire Retail Park on Saturday, March 23.
No food will be sold at the store - with clothing, homeware and other items instead on sale.
It will create 70 jobs and comes after a £1million investment at the Brandon Road retail park.
The store will be spread over two floors including a cafe, with electrical goods, furniture, DVDs and toys also on offer. n
Store manager Nick Farmer first worked for the company at a city store 18 years ago.
He described investing in Coventry with 70 jobs created as brilliant news.
And he added: "Customers will be happy to find the same great value and savings as they would see in all Asda stores and we hope they’ll be impressed with the fantastic non-food range we will offer.
“As part of our arrival to the area we want to involve the community as much as possible through our Community Life initiative and we will be appointing a colleague who is dedicated to forging links with local community groups and organisations.”
