THIS is an e-fit image of a man believed to have grabbed a teenager in a failed abduction attempt in Wood End.

We reported in October how the 17-year-old girl was approached by the man as she walked along Hilmorton Road.

He tried to pull her towards a waiting silver Peugeot 206 but the teenager managed to break free and run off after a Good Samaritan shouted to the attacker to let her go.

The victim was not hurt, but was left very shaken following the attack.

Four months on police have also revealed two men who had previously been arrested and bailed in connection with the incident had now been released without charge.

PC Stefan Ashton said: "This was a frightening attack for the victim and we want to ensure the man responsible is brought to justice.

"We are appealing to members of the public to help us identify the man or provide us with any more information about what happened.

"Our neighbourhood officers are continuing to work closely with schools in the Wood End area and any reports of this nature will be taken very seriously."

Anyone with information should call police on 101 Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
