THE award-winning Severn Trent choir celebrated their recent victory in the BBC's Sing While You Work with Lord Mayor Tim Sawdon.

He held a special reception for the 30-strong choir before Christmas.

Fourteen Severn Trent singers are based at the headquarters on St John Street with five also living in the city.

Coun Sawdon said: "It's fantastic to see Coventry represented by such a talented group of people, and I wanted to congratulate them on their win. I look forward to hearing more of their performances soon."

We reported in October how the choir sang to victory with their rendition of Feeling Good, made famous by Nina Simone, Muse and Michael Buble.

They beat Royal Mail and Lewisham Healthcare NHS Trust in the final on stage in front of thousands at one of the world’s most prestigious choral music festivals - the International Eisteddfod in Llangollen.
