THE headquarters of a children's charity has been given a much needed lick of paint.
Damp had ravaged the walls at Changing Colours' base in Station Street West in Foleshill.
But conditions have now improved thanks to a donation of paint, brushes and rollers from the city's Dulux Decorator Centre.
And volunteers from Voluntary Action Coventry rolled up their sleeves to transform the rooms which are now painted in a more welcoming red and white colour.
The charity, established in 2009, helps integrate children of different faiths into British society.
Founder Padma Rahulan said: "We are so glad our study rooms have a new lease of life following the makeover as the damp had ruined the walls and the children weren’t getting the most out of their lessons.
"The new colour scheme now reflects our charity’s name and we hope we can help many more children in the years to come."
The makeover was completed as part of Dulux Decorator Centres’ Colouring the Community scheme which aims to help groups and charities restore their premises and surrounding areas.
Paul Leedham, manager of Dulux Decorator Centres in Kingswood Close, said: "Bringing children together from different backgrounds is so important in today’s society and we were glad to help support a great cause in our local area which does just that."
