Coventry’s Early Intervention Team with their NHS Heroes award. (s)
CITY health workers are among those to be branded NHS heroes in a national scheme.
Ten teams in Coventry were recognised as part of the campaign to reward top work done by staff who improve the lives of patients - who voted for their winners - within the NHS.
All winners worked within mental health and community services across the area.
Each winner received a certificate signed by NHS chief executive David Nicholson at a special ceremony.
Local Partnership NHS Trust chair Martin Gower said: "Early Intervention Teams do a really difficult job, reaching out to young people who need care and support across our community.
"All too often, their work goes unseen, so this award is especially gratifying."
