THE library in Jubilee Crescent in Radford is due to have a £25,000 refurbishment.

Work to fit a new children's area carpet, new shelving, a redecoration of the main public area and modernisation to staff areas began on Monday.

It is expected to be completed by January 19. The library will be closed in the meantime.

Coun David Kershaw: "I hope the users of Jubilee Crescent Library will agree the minor inconvenience will be worth it."
