COVENTRY University fashion student Curtis Li Young has been named Clothes Show Live's Young Designer of the Year.
The 22-year-old who is in his third year won the prestigious award for his futuristic, geometric design inspired by punk rockstar Siouxsie Sioux.
The award was part of the Clothes Show Live Creative Awards Programme which aims to launch youngsters into careers in art and design.
Curtis' prize is a £1,000 bursary, a week’s work experience with a leading British fashion designer and tickets to Clothes Show Live 2013.
He thanked lecturers Angela Armstrong and Ann Muirhead.
"Without their help this wouldn't have happened, so the award is not only mine it’s also a testament to the university’s efforts. I'm very pleased with this result and I'm ready for the next challenge."
