Hi: 10° Lo:3° 7 day

TWO men have been charged by detectives investigating an incident at the Litten Tree in the city centre in the early hours of last Saturday morning.
A 24-year-old appeared before Coventry magistrates on Thursday charged with assault. He was remanded in custody to appear at crown court on April 2.
A second man, aged 19, has also been arrested.
The arrests are part of an investigation into the discovery of the body of a 44-year-old man at an address on Glencoe Road in the Stoke area of the city hours after he had been assualted in the city centre pub. He has not yet been named.
Detectives are probing a possible link between the assault at the pub and the man’s subsequent death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.
A post-mortem proved inconclusive and further forensic tests are required to determine an exact cause of death.
Anyone with information about the incident should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
