A NURSERY has donated dozens of Christmas presents to a local homeless charity.
Tiny Teddies, which has sites in Radford, Tile Hill and Whitley, has been collecting gifts with the aim of handing them over to the Anesis Ministry.
Wishing trees have been up since the beginning of November with kids bringing in presents ready to give away.
Senior manager at the nursery Kalpna Lad said it was important for children to know it is a time of giving, as well as receiving.
They chose Anesis Ministry after meeting their team at Coventry's Fun Run earlier this year.
"When we met them at the cheque presentation evening we really touched by what they have done so far and decided we wanted to do something for them," she said.
Kervin Julien, ministry director, added: "It's fantastic news that Tiny Teddies have taken this initiative.
"It will be a tremendous addition to our own Christmas initiative, and bring a smile to the faces of many young children affected by the restraints that their parents will feel in their current circumstances.
"Every individual can do something to help others less fortunate than themselves; we are just so thankful that Tiny Teddies have chosen to support us this year.
"We look forward to working with them now, and again in the future."
