Scooter rider hurt in car collision

A YOUNG scooter rider was taken to hospital with potentially serious head injury after a collision with a car.

It happened at the junction Lentons Lane and Shilton Lane at about 5.05pm yesterday (Monday).

The 23-year-old rider also has a possible fracture to his left wrist and had pain in his right leg and abdomen, a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said.

The elderly woman who was driving the car was not hurt.
