A PACKED night of entertainment will raise money for a kids' charity.

Tonight (Friday) will see talented musicians perform at city venue The Quids Inn for The Joshua Foundation.

The charity raises money to send youngsters diagnosed with terminal illnesses on once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

It launched after five-year-old cancer sufferer Joshua Cornelius enjoyed 22 trips away with family before he lost his battle with the disease.

Headline performances on the night are set to come from Dan W and Jimmi Western with support from a number of acts.

They include Pilot The Sky, Zain Luke Ali, ManleyMan, Rickie-lee Cooper, Billie Louise Hoey, Jasmine Coogan and Nadina Knight.

Special appearances will also come from a charity ambassador and Miss Warwickshire International 2012, Danielle Randall.

Coventry University student Kirstie Logan, who organised the event and will also perform, said: "I encountered The Joshua Foundation when I competed in the Miss Great Britain International competition.

"Eventually I came third, but I promised to continue working with this fantastic organisation, and I am determined to help make 'life an experience' for terminally ill children.

"I now arrange three major charity events per year which are all in aid of The Joshua Foundation."

Kirstie, who has raised over £65,000 for charity since the age of 14, added the gig was set to be an awesome night.

Entry fees will be a donation from a minimum £1 with all proceeds going to the charity. Under 18s are welcome with adult supervision.

The gig starts at 7.30pm at the Gosford Street venue with a lock-in promised for acoustic jamming until 6am.
