Second Comet store to close

Monday 17 December 2012 Updated: 17/12 10:30

THE under-threat Comet store will close its doors for the final time on Tuesday.

The future of the shop at Alvis Retail Park had been hanging in the balance since the company announced it had gone into administration

The stores have been closed in stages around the country and it follows the closure of the Comet at Gallagher Retail Park.

Administrators Deloitte had hoped to find a buyer for the business to save the stores but they have been unable to do so.
