BROADGATE has been turned into an ice rink.
It is part of efforts to get city-folk into the Christmas spirit.
Skaters from the International School of Skating and Coventry Blaze Junior Academy were among the first on the ice when it opened on Saturday.
The rink will be in place until Friday, December 28. It costs £7 for adults and £5 for children to skate for 45 minutes.
Chris Carpenter, general manager of Planet Ice, said: "We encourage the public to come and support what will be a fantastic addition to Broadgate's event space this Christmas."
