A WARD affected by the norovirus winter sickness bug has reopened at University Hospital.

Visitors had been banned from Ward 40 because of an outbreak but the Walsgrave site said all wards were now open.

At Warwick Hospital, only the maternity department and special care baby unit, children's ward and intensive therapy unit have escaped the bug.

And at George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton, visiting to all wards is suspended, except on compassionate grounds.

NHS Coventry said all the hospitals would be updating their websites with the latest ward closures and visiting restrictions.

They are:

Warwick Hospital - www.swft.nhs.uk.

George Eliot Hospital - www.geh.nhs.uk.
