Three in hospital after bus crashes into ditch

THREE people have been taken to hospital after a bus crashed into a ditch.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Brinklow Road just before 1pm, after reports the single decker had left the road.

An ambulance was passing the scene at the time of while a second ambulance was called together with a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle.

A spokesman said: "Six patients were treated at the scene including the bus driver.

"Three patients were discharged by ambulance crews at the scene.

"Two females and a male were treated for minor injuries and conveyed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for precautionary assessments."
