MUSE have announced they will begin their biggest ever stadium tour at the Ricoh Arena.
The group, whose current album The 2nd Law has now topped the charts in over 20 countries, will embark on their most ambitious stage production so far next summer.
And Coventry is just one of three UK-based venues to host the show along with the Emirates Stadium in London and the Etihad Stadium in Manchester before the tour takes the group to Europe.
“Muse’s shows are always full of energy and drama with their animated style and we are already looking forward to seeing the band rock the Ricoh,” said Liz Cooper, marketing director at the Ricoh Arena.
“They have a loyal following throughout the world and particularly in the UK which is underlined by the number of sell-out concerts they play.
“We are delighted the Ricoh is once again hosting the first night of a band’s summer tour in the stadium bowl and we are expecting tickets to be snapped up very quickly.”
Muse were formed in Devon back in 1994 and consists of three school friends Matthew Bellamy, Christopher Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard.
The band have released six studio albums and have sold over 15 million albums worldwide, with their fifth studio album being named the Best Rock Album at the Grammy Awards.
They are currently on tour in Europe and have already announced a short tour of Japan for early 2013.
Tickets for the show are priced at £49.50 for general admission or £55 for seated tickets plus booking fee and go on general sale at 9.30am on November 23.
Tickets can be purchased by theticketfactory.com or by calling 0844 338 0338 and will be available to purchase in person from the Ricoh Arena’s Box Office.
Hospitality packages are also available by visiting ricoharena.com or call 0844 873 6501.
