Taylor Wimpey will build homes on former Henry Parkes site

Monday 12 November 2012 Updated: 13/11 09:31

TAYLOR Wimpey will build 211 homes on the site of the former Henry Parkes Primary School, it has been revealed.

The council confirmed the sale of the land which has been empty for over ten years last month and the housebuilder unveiled its plans for the site at a meeting at Canley Library last Tuesday.

It said it intends to apply for full planning permission for two, three and four bedroom homes.

Revised plans for a new housing development next to Lyng Hall School went on show yesterday (Wednesday) at St Mary Magdalene with Risen Christ Church.

The initial plan revealed earlier this year drew some areas of concern, according to the council, which it says have now been addressed.

A planning application for a 180 homes housing development on the 15 acre site off Blackberry Lane will now be drawn up and the site put up for sale.
