POLICE have released this CCTV image after a Coventry man with learning difficulties was attacked on a bus.

A 22-year-old was punched in the head repeatedly by a stocky man described as white and aged 18-20.

He was travelling through Bell Green on the number 544 at 7.55pm on October 11.

The attacker, who was wearing a grey hooded top at the time of the incident, then ran from the bus at Riley Square.

Officers are hoping the CCTV image will help somebody come forward with information.

PC Nigel Gregory, investigating the hate crime, said: "This was an appalling unprovoked attack that left the victim visibly shaken and with minor injuries.

"We would urge anybody with information, or who may recognise the suspect from the CCTV still, to contact us as soon as possible on 101."
