THIS weekend's clash between the Sky Blues and Scunthorpe United has been selected as the club’s Armed Forces Appreciation Day to mark Remembrance Weekend.
A range of activities will be taking place on Saturday to honour the armed forces, including a parade involving Royal British Legion members, cadets and personnel around the pitch as the players are warming up.
Cadets will be around the ground with collection buckets to raise money for the Poppy Appeal and some will take part in a giant shirt shake on the pitch before kick-off.
Guests will also be helping with the Guard of Honour and there will be a minute’s silence before the game begins.
Coventry City Ladies will also be paying their respects by holding a minute's silence before Sunday's Premier League clash at the Bedworth Oval.
Armed forces members, as well as their friends and family, can purchase discounted tickets for the Scunthorpe game.
