HIT West End show Calendar Girls is making its debut at the Belgrade Theatre.

The stage version of the hit 2003 film starring Helen Mirren and Julie Walters runs from October 15 to 20.

This feel good play, based on a true story of a group of ordinary women who pose for a charity calendar with a difference, features a stellar line up of acclaimed actors, including Lesley Joseph, who shot to fame as Dorien Green in the BBC comedy Birds of Feather and Kacey Ainsworth, who played Little Mo in EastEnders.

The cast also includes Sue Holderness, best known as Marlene Boyce in Only Fools and Horses, and Deena Payne, who played Viv Hope in Emmerdale for 18 years, while Strictly Come Dancing professional Camilla Dallerup makes her acting debut as beautician Elaine, alongside her husband Kevin Sacre, who played Jake Dean in Hollyoaks.

Helen Fraser, who is most known for her role as Sylvia ‘Bodybag’ Hollamby in BBC prison drama Bad Girls, also joins the cast alongside Hi-De-Hi actress Ruth Madoc, Kathryn Rooney, Susan Bovell, Robert Gill and Bruce McGregor.

Tickets are priced from £16.75 to £30.75 from the box office on 024 7655 3055 or online at www.belgrade.co.uk.
