MIDFIELDER Steve Jennings has become Andy Thorn's ninth summer signing of the summer after joining the Sky Blues this week.
The 27-year-old has been on trial with the club for several weeks and a deal was finally agreed ahead of tomorrow's opening match of the season against Yeovil Town.
Jennings was a free agent and has put pent to paper on a three year deal at the Ricoh Arena after opting to leave Scottish Premier League outfit Motherwell.
He was offered a two-year contract to extend his stay in Lanarkshire but he has chosen to decline despite the lure of playing in the Champions League qualifying stages.
Thorn said he was delighted to sign the former Tranmere Rovers midfielder.
"We knew he was a good player before he came here and he’s proved that while he has been with us," said Thorn.
"He had a little injury which meant it has taken a bit longer to get it done but we are all delighted that we have been able to complete this deal before the league season starts on Saturday.
"It gives us another option in midfield and it means we’ve got some really good competition in that area of the pitch."
