MORTIMER has much on his mind in black comedy Arsenic and Old Lace at Kenilworth's Talisman Theatre from July 9 to 14.
Drama critic Mortimer Brewster discovers his beloved maiden aunts, Abby and Martha, are homicidal maniacs, and that insanity does not just run in the family - it practically gallops.
The bodies, baddies, police and crooks pile up in the pair's house while Mortimer agonises over whether to marry his fiancée.
The play also contains scenes cut from the Cary Grant film featuring Mortimer’s lunatic brother Jonathan, and his personal plastic surgeon Doctor Einstein.
Tickets are available from the box office on 01926 856548 and cost £6 (Monday), £8 (Tuesday to Thursday), and £8.50 (Friday and Saturday).
They are also on sale online at www.talismantheatre.co.uk.
