A SECOND man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that left a clubber with a serious stomach injury.
The 24-year-old - from Foleshill - was arrested on Monday night and will be quizzed today (Tuesday) about the stabbing that is believed to have happened at S7VEN nightclub on Hales Street in the early hours of Monday morning.
A 23-year-old man arrested at a Coventry address a few hours after the incident has been bailed to re-appear for further questioning on a date in July.
The victim - a 22-year-old Coundon man - has undergone emergency surgery for a stab wound to the abdomen and remains in hospital where his condition is described as stable.
Officers remain keen to speak to anyone who was in the nightclub at the time as they could have important information about the stabbing.
Detective Constable Mark Miller said: "We've already spoken to several potential witnesses, but the sheer volume of people in the club at the time means some may not yet have spoken to us."
