STEVE Bingham is reprising the role of Sky Masterson in Coventry Musical Theatre Society's production of hit Broadway musical Guys and Dolls.
It is the third time Steve has taken on the role he first played aged 22 and for the second time aged 32. Now 42, he will be back among the cast for its three night run on the Main Stage at the Belgrade Theatre from Thursday, June 21 to Saturday, June 23.
Guys and Dolls is a double love story and a musical comedy with all the much-loved US novelist Damon Runyon characters such as Harry the Horse and Nicely Nicely Johnson.
It is also a story of good and bad, and a lighthearted view of the New York underworld in the early 20th century.
It is the fourth musical the society has staged at the Belgrade since the closure of the College Theatre in 2008.
"Sky is a fantastic part to play," said Steve.
"He has a really strong character progression through the show. He starts off as a gambler and coldhearted womanizer, taking advantage of a woman to win a bet and ends up falling in love with her. He also has some great songs to sing and some great comedy moments."
Guys and Dolls will performed nightly at 7.45pm with 3pm matinees on Thursday and Saturday.
Tickets are priced from £12.50 to £18.50 from www.belgrade.co.uk or by telephoning the box office on 7655 3055.
