SINGERS are needed to join the Spires Philharmonic Chorus on stage for their spring show.
The choir will be performing Beethoven’s 9th symphony - popularly known as Ode To Joy - at the city’s Holy Trinity Church on Saturday, April 14. But the search is on for more singers to beef up the sound.
Chorus manager Kathryn Hardy said: "This is a great celebratory work and we’re hoping to double the size of the choir.
"It’s a stirring work, very exciting to be involved with, and all singers will be warmly welcomed, especially sopranos and tenors."
Rehearsals begin on Sunday, February 12 with a half-day workshop at King Henry VIII School in Coventry beginning at 9.30am.
No auditions are necessary for would-be participants and rehearsals will be held at variable times during the weeks that follow.
Anyone interested in taking part should call Kathryn on spires@tuneful.org.uk or on 024 7654 3431.
