THOUSANDS of people gathered to Coventry Cathedral over Bank Holiday weekend to see the Flower Festival 2012 in full bloom.
The spectacular Flower Festival entitled ‘The Power and The Glory' took place in the historic Cathedral from the 5th -8th May 2012.
It marked a joint celebration of the 50th anniversary of the both the National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS) and the consecration of the cathedral.
The event included almost 50 beautifully crafted flower arrangements, created by highly talented demonstrators and gifted flower arrangers.
The Cathedral was also transformed into a haven for food-lovers over the weekend too, with lunches served being served in St Michael’s House, a Champagne Terrace, Pimms on Unity Lawn and mobile caterers just outside the Chapel of Unity.
There was also an opportunity to sample the Cathedral’s new café prior to its formal opening on Tuesday (May 8) and Eureka Jazz set the tone and entertained the crowds.
