THREE of Coventry's seven most wanted criminals have been arrested, police have confirmed.

They were arrested just days after appearing on the front page of The Observer two weeks ago with one handing himself in.

Inquiries into the allegations about them are ongoing, a West Midlands Police spokesman told us.

Four remain on the city's most wanted Rogues Gallery. They are burglary suspects Marius Costica, 27; Benjamin Finnigan, 19; and Alin Chiciu, 25. Mantas Lauksas, 23, is wanted for robbery.

Superintendent Stephen Graham said: "We've had an encouraging response from the public with thousands of people checking our wanted gallery and many contacting us with information.

"But equally we've had suspects spot themselves online or see their face on our touring digivan, realise the net is closing and done themselves a favour by walking into a police station."

Crime figures released at the end of last month showed between April 2011 and March this year there were more than 21,000 fewer crime victims across the region compared to the previous year.

The Rogues Gallery can be seen at west-midlands.police.uk/wanted.
