A MAN who was hit by a train in Coventry this morning has died.
Paramedics were called to Tile Hill Station in Cromwell Line just before 9.10am today (Wednesday).
He collided with a train on the line between Coventry and Birmingham International.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Once trains had been stopped, ambulance staff walked along the track until they came across the patient.
“Sadly, it was immediately obvious that nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
“The train that raised the alert is not believed to have been involved in the death.”
An ambulance and a paramedic area support officer had been sent to the scene.
