FLOWERS adorn the scene of a crash which left one motorcyclist dead and another injured.

David Bird, 26, died following a smash with another bike in Hillmorton Road.

The circumstances of the crash are not yet known.

The road was closed for three hours from around 1pm on Saturday when the crash happened while police began their investigation.

Tributes on Facebook revealed Mr Bird had two sons and was known to his friends as Oink. He was thought to have live in the Wood End area.

A tribute page created by his friends was flooded with messages throughout the week.

One read: “Instead of mourning your death I’d rather celebrate your life.

“You were an amazing guy and you are going to be missed massive amounts, you’ve made an impact on all us Wood Enders and more.”

Police have appealed for witnesses to crash to call them on 0345 113 5000.
