A MAN has died after being hit by a train in the city yesterday (Tuesday).
Emergency services were called to the railway line near Durbar Avenue, Foleshill at 5.30pm.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "There was a goods train on the line.
"A search was conducted by emergency services and the body of a man was found by police. He was confirmed dead at the scene."
The spokesman added three rapid response vehicles, one driven by an incident officer, attended along with an ambulance crew and the Hazardous Area Response Team.
