LONG-AWAITED building work to Allesley Medical Centre has finally kick started.
Huge delays had set in for a new phase of improvements at the site but mistakes were made when drafting legal documents for the development.
Months after work had come to a halt, it finally re-started on Monday (January 30).
Coun Bally Singh welcomed the news. He said: "The name of the landlord to which the premises were to be transferred was incorrect, an error missed by all parties to the agreement and their lawyers.
"So I am pleased some progress on restarting the works is finally being made. The fact this is such an exciting project, have frankly made the ongoing delays even more frustrating.
"Despite the government's dangerous shakedown of the NHS, the Allesley Medical Centre is a great example of what can be achieved when people work together."
