THE most popular of the Sherlock Holmes stories is to be staged at Priory Theatre in Kenilworth.
This hilariously played adaptation of The Hound of the Baskervilles is a world premiere at an amateur theatre.
Written by John Nicholson, it stars a cast of three quick changing actors don frocks, assorted wigs and big black beards to pay Conan Doyle irreverent homage.
Mike Tildesley takes on the role of Sherlock Holmes while Alec Brown plays his trusty associate Dr Watson. Marc Taylor plays Sir Henry Baskerville.
It runs until Saturday, February 11.
Director John Evans said: "We are extremely honoured to be premiering this outstanding production onto the amateur stage.
"The cast are doing an incredible job, and some rehearsals saw the backstage crew reduced to tears of laughter from the comedic performances. The pace of the production is breathtaking, the fast changing sets are impressive, and the energy from the cast as they tell the story of the classic Sherlock Holmes thriller is stunning."
Performances are at 7.30pm nightly with tickets, costing £8 and £7 concessions, on sale from the box office on
01926 863334 between 2pm and 8pm.
