YOUNG snowboarder Lewis Courtier-Jones has told how he will learn from his experiences after making his debut at the Winter Youth Olympic Games in Kuhtai.
The 16-year-old was part of the Team GB team that recorded three top 15 positions in the half-pipe finals on Sunday.
Lewis scored 59.75 on his first run and 41.25 on his second to earn eighth place in the snowboard half-pipe semi-finals and finish 14th overall.
And he is hopeful of improving his performance in the slopestyle competition which gets under way today (Thursday).
He said: "I didn’t do my first run as well as I wanted to so I tried to really step it up in the second run to try and get in to the finals but it wasn’t to be.
"It’s been great fun here in Innsbruck, I’ve met loads of new people, and I’ve still got the slopestyle competition to look forward to and hopefully I can do better in that.
"Overall the Youth Olympics has been a really good experience so far and I’ve really enjoyed it."
