A NATIONAL charity is backing a fund-raising campaign by the family of a little girl who needs life-changing specialist treatment.

Roza Abdullah's form of Cerebral Palsy, known as Little's Disease, is so bad she finds it impossible to walk and run with her friends because of the aches and pains in her legs.

The five-year-old is desperate for cutting-edge treatment in America but needs to raise £50,000 in just three months because it is not available on the NHS.

The operation focuses on sensory nerve fibres which come from the muscles and enter the spinal cord and would rapidly increase her strength and ability to walk.

Her family, who live in the Stoke area of the city, have now teamed up with charity Caudwell Children to drum up support.

Mum Nazaneen Abdulla said: "I heard about Caudwell Children through other families they had helped and it feels like a huge relief to have the support of such an experienced team."

The charity's Ben Sutcliffe added: "We really believe in the difference the treatment can make to a child’s life and want to help in any way we can to get Roza over to St Louis."

Anyone interested in helping the Help Roza Walk Appeal is asked to contact Caudwell Children on 01782 600114 or to donate online visit justgiving.com/helprozawalk.
