PLANET Ice will remain open as usual despite its parent company going into administration.
Arena Group, which owns the ice rink where Coventry Blaze play and the Skydome where is is based, insisted the jobs of over 400 staff across the country were not under any immediate threat.
Last week the Observer revealed how the company had been issued with a winding up order due to an unpaid tax bill. Directors claimed the dispute would be resolved 'in the next few days'.
But for now founder and previous owner of the Planet Ice brand Mike Petrouis has come back in to the run the Planet Ice arm of the group.
In a statement, the group said: "Mike Petrouis has confirmed the current Planet Ice senior management team headed by group managing Director John Neville will continue to operate the businesses as usual."
Arena Group and its administrators HJS Recovery declined to comment further.
