THREE more famous names have been inducted into the Coventry Music Wall of Fame.

One of the finest ska drummers of all time John Bradbury will join fellow band mate from The Specials Lynval Golding on the wall after providing the famous Coventry band with their unique sound.

Pop singer and songwriter Vince Hill has also been added for his performances at some of the finest theatres in the world.

His hit Edelweiss made him a huge TV star after it was selected for the Sound of Music soundtrack and it also made it to number two in the UK charts back in 1967.

And lastly all round musician Roger Lomas has been added for his work during the 2-Tone era.

He was responsible for the sound recording of the earliest ever 2-Tone song and has produced records for the likes of The Selecter, Bad Manners and The Album, earning him a grammy award.

All three stars will be added to the wall at a special ceremony next Friday (January 27) at the 2-Tone Village on Walsgrave Road.

People can now put forward their nominations at all 17 libraries in the city as well as online at 2tonecentral.co.uk

"Libraries provide access to and information about music, and their buildings - such as the Central Library - have played their part in Coventry's musical history," said councillor Lynnette Kelly, Coventry City Council's Cabinet Member for Libraries.

"It is for all these reasons that I am delighted that libraries are involved in giving communities the chance to vote for their favourite local musicians."
